McQueeney

Near the Caterpillar location, McQueeney centers around Lake McQueeney, known as the "water ski capital of Texas." McQueeney is a small rural town consisting of a small industrial base and mostly housing.

The Lake Breezy Ski Lodge is located on Lake McQueeney. It offers lodging, dining, and water ski shows, as well as a boat ramp and dock facilities. Membership is required to use the facilities.

There are convenience stores and restaurants in McQueeney, but most shopping is done in nearby Seguin and New Braunfels.

McQueeney has a very good volunteer fire department. There is no local police force; the Guadalupe County Sheriff's department handles law enforcement. Public services are offered through private companies.
